Property Division

During the divorce process, parties often must equitably, or fairly, divide all marital property.  In Massachusetts, marital property includes all property and assets in the name of either party, regardless of how or when it was acquired.  This might include real estate, furnishings, a family pet, bank accounts, and retirement accounts.

Our attorneys and staff can assist you in negotiating a fair and equitable division of property, whether through a mutually agreed upon divorce agreement, or at trial.  In addition to traditional litigation, our licensed family law mediators can work with both parties to find an equitable and respectful resolution to their property division dispute.

Charles River Law Partners, LLC represents clients in Suffolk County, Middlesex County, Essex County, Norfolk County, Plymouth County, Bristol County, Worcester County, Hampden County, and Franklin County.
